THE STORY OF BANKPOINT CONSULTING
“As a result of referrals to me by State and Federal regulators and industry leaders in regulatory law firms and investment banking firms, services were provided assistance to multiple financial institutions with their challenges. Each situation was unique. Roles included Interim CEO and Advisory Director to the Board, as the circumstances dictated. Many of the positions were the result of “consent orders” issued by the FDIC. Several of the positions related to a need for consensus regarding the direction of the institution on the parts of management, shareholders and board of directors. At times this led to the sale of the organization, which entailed work on behalf of the buyer or the seller in the M&A process, usually in conjunction with investment bankers. Other situations required restructure of ownership positions, which dictated relocation for the purposes of developing and implementing a short term strategic plan. As previously noted, each institution had its own unique challenges in finding a healthy direction and outcome.
Operating company referrals were also a part of my consulting work. Such referrals were generally obtained through bankruptcy counsel at major law firms. These projects entailed either development of an operating plan or debt restructure as well as addressing ownership issues.
Based in both Texas and Maryland, I am available to travel as needed. ” – Ralph Dowling
